Kingshaugh and Kyleburn Native Ponies

Ponies of the Past

Hopelaws Weka (Hopelaws Kazek x Hopelaws Jenny Wren)

Owned by us for 10 years Weka was our first Dartmoor and was Rebecca and Jack's lead rein pony and Rebecca's first ridden.  Once outgron we decided to breed from her but she became ill following each foal so we retired her early.  She was totally miserable stuck in the field and not being ridden so we decided that she needed to find a new family with other children for her to look after.  She now has a new home with Julia and Peter Rutherford and their daughters and is once again proving an excellent child's friend.

List of winnings too numerous to mention but a few are:

Ridden - 2002 - 3rd Newark County, 2nd WHP Southern Dartmoor, 3rd WHP Dartmoor Championshp Show, 1st WHP Eastern Dartmoor.

Kingshaugh Linnet (Cosdon Cracker x Hopelaws Weka)

Linnet as a 2 year old

Due to ill health we had to reduce numbers, we sold Linnet to Jane Brown of Derbyshire.  As a result of Jane buying Linnet we became friends and decided to embark on a joint venture of owning a stallion.

Cocum Moonstone (Connemara)

Cayberry Atlantic Chill (Pip) (Shilstone Rocks Atlantic Gale x Cayberry Chilli Pepper)
